By Grabthar's Hammer, what a savings.

MLC, that's a standard response for people shopping for Gibsons. It's what they'd want to hear from a test market, haha!

I agree. A six on one side headstock of some sort would look better. Or some other styled headstock.

Yeah, a different headstock would make this far more marketable. Looks like they're not interested in modernizing the headstock.

Gibson is not paying attention to the market.

Probably spells death for this line.

I'm too traditional. I like the original design much better. 60 years proves it.

I agree with Bbender, but if I was a gigging musician I'd definitely check them out. They seem very ergonomically reasonable and they introduced them in gold so that gets some points from me.

The one volume and tone thing doesn't bug me at all since I never blend pups on my LP. Maybe I should look into it.

I can buy 3-4 nice guitars with $4K, all of which would be far more appealing to me than this one. Pass.

"I'll wait for the Agile version."

This actually already looks like the Agile version - maybe they should sue Gibson?

It really needs a different headstock and a much lower price to be appealing - did Gibson do any test marketing on this thing before they committed to it and launched it?

"I predict that this model will be gone in two years."

Those dealers that got stuck with them will be clearing them out for $1,500.

"Okay, give me $1,200 and it's yours."

Somewhere in Guitarville, there is a bar, and in that bar are alcoholic Dusk Tigers, Firebird X's, the Circus SG, some lonely autotuners keep them company and they all lament what could have been.....suddenly, in walks in the new Gibson Double cut....

And the punchline is,

"The Doublecut asks the others, 'Does Henry J. think this is some kind of joke?'"

The Double Cut maybe the best idea Henry J has had in a while. Not a bad guitar except the price.

But I suspect it will be doomed to a similar fate as his other recent ideas.

Good on Gibson for trying something different.

Bit expensive though,

The Gforce tuners work well.

The mistake was forcing them on EVERYTHING.

I didn't believe until I used them, but damn, I'd love a set for other guitars too!

If I understand correctly, these are custom shop models. Regular production models, if there ever are any, would be more affordable.
