My Ibanez FZ-7. It's the stuff that dreams are made of. Bad ones.

There's a switch on it that says 'Damage'. Indeed!

That's tame, sir.

Tame.

Now sputtering death can be had with stuff with switches and starve circuits that make it look like a boring ol' Fuzz Face. :)

My custom Test Pattern from Hell goes from shortwave sputters to flat out sine oscillation fighting the input, to actual useful fuzz.

Run your signal backwards through some wah pedals and there's no telling what might emerge from the output.

Sometimes it's fuzz-like scrapes so bad it would make Dr. Eugene Chadbourne smile.

Maybe not the best fuzz, but my Blue Box sputters in its own special way because of the built in gate. It's pretty righteous!

I have more racket than god posted.

That said, this is all built around the TPfH live, parallel processing courtesy of the ES-8 so it's always fighting and screaming and staticing but not taking over.

On its own, it'd be ....a lot meaner.

The monster in action.

Thanks, it's a heck of a monster. I have others that do ugly, but nothing where I'm finding new sounds years after having it done.

Getting it done properly was a nightmare, my first two people failed at the job and a friend stepped in to save the day.

With only one working eye for soldering purposes, I try to avoid it!

I built a Fuzz Face in the 70's out of used parts. Germanium metal can Transistors. OK Fuzz. The circuit was found in a library book 101 projects. Then I added a bypass switch that just connected the in to the out, yet the Fuzz was also still working and I got Glassy distortion. Rotating the Fuzz pot would eventually get oscillation. Interesting effect.

Heh, I got to play with one for a bit, it wasn't a bad pedal, I just had most of it covered already.

Know a couple guys who swear by 'em.

If I want to go for ugly versatile that's covering too many bases, I have a 9-in-1 Devi clone that has enough knobs and switches to launch a missile. It was christened the "Meth Shark" by the builder and the previous owner.
