Lovely thing. Feels great under the hand. Sounds and plays great with just the 'Store Strings'and Set-up.

AND........of course last night taking a short break from noodling with the newby (and WHY did I wait so long to try fretless it is wonderful?)I went into the kitchen to wack-up the seasons first watermelon and promptly tried to remove the tip of my left index finger "OUCH!!". So now and for the next week or so all I'll be doing is looking at the beast and dreaming of playing. That's almost the same thing as playing right?

messes wid my typing too..... stupid melon.

Yeah, the malevolent melon. Play it upside down, hold a pick in your left hand.

I hate finger damage, but I heal fast and if it's a clean slice superglue "o)

I've thought about getting a fretless ABG, but for now, I'm still focused on polishing my fretted technique. Once I'm happy with that, I may move on to the fretless challenge.

Seems like fretted ABGs almost require higher action because most of them demand a more aggressive right-hand attack to be heard unplugged over even an acoustic guitar. With too low an action, there's more potential for clank and rattle.

I'm thinking that a lined, fretless ABG with tape-wounds might fill the bill for me.

Watermelons are clearly the minions of Satan.

Enjoy your new toy!
