Biased down to 52mv(lowest it would go) with some Genalex Gold Lions KT66

Ohhhh man what a nice sound.

Going to be a nice test for Jeffry Falla. His book "Hot rod your Fender" says the stock trans will be ok with the added voltage.

As for HRDs go .. sounds really good!

I have a Marshall Vintage Modern fitted with KT-66s. I don't know how to explain what I'm hearing but they sure are sweet, acknowledging the amp is designed for them. Certainly different from 6L6s.

I have a Mahalo Katy 66 with a pair of KT-66's. It is a 50 watt beast!

Kt66 are a stretch for the 6L6GC transformer, but after playing an hour or so it looks like it handles KT66s fine.

The edges of the notes or more round and smoother than 6l6GC's & the amp had a more "open loose feel"

As loose and big as 6l6GC are... IMO Kt66 are even more of that. I think 6l6GC are crisper and have a tighter bottom end.

I like them (i.e the KT66) after warming up and not on purpose I immediately drifted into Cream's Sunshine on your Love" I laughed because

Clapton used a Blues Breaker 45 with Kt66 in that era... although in no way is a HRD a Marshall Blues Breaker 45, it's of the Bassman tone stack family (hence early marshall'ish) putting KT66 and running the Drive gave me that vibe.

The HRDeluxe I have as been modded by a real good tech the Drive channel is pretty good as far as HRDs go... I using KT66 even added something..
