Condenser mic/piezo undersaddle wire combo. The SL only has a vol knob and a set screw to mix the mic and pick up, so you save about 100 bucks on this one versus the deluxe version of the Anthem. Drilled the bridge for the piezo wire and Mommy-O helped run it thru. My mitts were too big. She's a junior luthier now! Popped in an endpin jack, stuck on the vol control and Velcroed the battery bag in the sound hole. Sanded down the saddle to compensate the thickness of the piezo wire. Took about an hour. Running it through a Baggs Para DI.. highly recommended. Fat and crisp, no quack.

Interested why you chose this model if you'd care to share? There are so many similar options on the market. I'd like to add something of the nature to my Martin at some point in the future. The K&K systems seem well liked so was thinking about those - do they compare?

Pairs up with the Para DI, ohm/millivolt/whatevs wise. Needed the extra EQ and already had it on-hand. The K&K systems are highly thought of here for sure.
