Originally I was set to get an Ibanez Prestige AS200 but I'd have to wait a week or two more for it to be in stock at Musician's Friend. The more I thought about it (obsessed over it?) I convinced myself that I'd always wonder if the real deal Gibby would've been that much more satisfying. And so, I pulled the trigger on the Gibby. Just arrived today and it sounds as sweet as it looks. A little brighter with the burstbuckers instead of the '57s apparently. Took me just a little while to get reacquainted with the narrower neck, much like my Les Paul Custom which I haven't played in ages. Only a couple gripes: The case is a weird fit - the guitar sits a little slanted. Also, the neck is dressed such that dark residue is on my fingers now. Seemed a bit tacky or something as I played but I'm sure breaking in will take care of that.

A nice pairing with the Fuchs

Very pretty, indeed!

So, what neck profile does it have?

Thanks - it's a 12" radius rounded C. It came in just under 8 lbs.

That is gorgeous.

"Also, the neck is dressed such that dark residue is on my fingers now."

I have the same thing going on with my Epi ES-335 Pro.

"Also, the neck is dressed such that dark residue is on my fingers now."

A common occurrence. I'm pretty sure it is die or stain applied to darken the rosewood. It will wear off.

Oh yeah, meant to say it is a very nice looking guitar!

Nice looking 335. Under 8 lbs is a bonus. 335s can be quite heavy.

Such a beauty! Enjoy it! BTW, who is 'Ford' on the caption below the photo? Robben is it?

Yes Deep, that would be Robben Ford - even though he normally plays a tele, custom Fender, or Epiphone Riviera.

But speaking of Robben Ford, I recorded a quick, rough recording of Talk to Your Daughter using a backing track I found online.
