I knew it was losing some volume the last time I played it but, thought maybe some guitar cables had gone bad.
Hooked it up last night and nothing at all. Took the back off and power tubes were lit. Pulled retainers off the preamp tubes and no glow at all from those tubes. Replaced them and no go!

Is there anything else I could look for that might be a simple fix?
If not I guess it's tech time.

Does the amp have two fuses? I think some Buddas do, and several Doc Zs do too.

If it has a single fuse--then that's not the issue.

I looked for a schematic for this amp and couldn't find one to see if they had ever used a filament fuse or if they had DC filaments or something like. Since the EL84's have filaments, it tends to sound like a filament buss issue...cold joint, fracture, etc.

Peegoo-I'll take a look. Didn't even think that b/c power tubes and rectifier tube was lit!

One thing I didn't say was the fan comes on when powering up for the power tubes all the time now. Don't remember it being that way in the past.

To my knowledge this amp was made at the PV factory.
That's not a knock on PV! I've had this amp for at least 5/6 years and never had a problem.

willie- Thanks! It was good to talk with you today as it always is! 👍👍
