J Giels Band
We owe it to ourselves on this. I don't think we have ever covered one of their tunes.
I'm OK with any of them

J Giels (ain't nothin' but a) house party rawks!

If Joe is coming with the B3 and leslie, I can back on piano and a whole bunch of guys yelling the background vocals. Good song to get a lot of folks up there

plus I can do my Magic Dick impersonation. Nice call and answer with the organ

did I just say Magic Dick and Organ in the same sentence??!

yes, yes I did (just dont tell my Mom)

I got all the suggestions from this thread as well as all the others from email

we now have 74 suggestions between here and email. I will stop at 100 or Friday whichever comes first. Need to get the LoL out for votes. Only gonna take the first 55 so top selections only.

so now is the time to make suggestions if you want them considered. Only 100 songs, no write ins, no whining
remember
there's no crying in Clamfest

NOTE: What Picnic was referring to is that J. Geils just passed away the other day. So a tribute to the J. Geils Band would be appropriate.

The voices in my head all agree, that any of their songs would work for Clamfest, they all kick @$$.

OK: It's back to the woodshed, the voices want their medications and Stoli-water; NOW !!!!!

gman we can forgive you for saying dick, organ and your Mom in one post

but we can't forgive you saying "rawks"

I could vote for Centerfold
it has group singing, group clapping, group whistling, and reference to some archaic artifact called a magazine

***** All Hail the Guardian of the List *****

The Minions of Music have waited for this special moment in time. Let your voices be heard, when called upon; there is much to ponder!

The voices in my head want to remind you, that when the time comes, vote early, and vote often. (It's a Joisey thing)

ok only a dozen of you have voted....need to get more as this is the only week we will vote.

so if you want something on the list of 100 to make the final 50 you need to vote.

Voting this week
final list comes out next week and we start picking slots
then you have two weeks to get ready for the Rama-Lama-Clama-Ding-Dong
Sha-doo-bee~

@Steve: Please let me translate for you; that is the ancient tribal language of the "HA-KOW-WE" native American tribe of Central NJ. Loosely translated it means "You must prepare for Clamfest, and fast".

Another one you might be familiar with is:
"NICHE-UM-BALA-WALA" Again, loosely translated means, "Don't step in the bear droppings"

But on a more important note, "He who holds picnics" has confirmed there will be "Crumbcake" (Thank you Jerry)

(The voices in my head are really exited, they are going to have their "meds", "Stoli-water" and CRUMBCAKE", all at once.)

Got to go- the woodshed needs me!

ok the voting is looking good so far with 16 people already voted

I have picked a Chuck Berry Cover by the Beatles as the closer. It has 4 verses and a sing along chorus

its -Rock and Roll Music
It came in near the top of the voting so far so it will be a keeper and it makes for the perfect all hands on deck closer for Clamfest Spring 2017

What a co-inky-dink!

I'm playing at a little jam on Saturday and we're closing with Rock and Roll Music as a tribute to Our Father of Rock and Roll (P.B.U.H.).
