Man, you could have done the half-way decent thing and just decked the trem, but blocked??!!

Only kidding, whatever gets you and your strat back together is sweet.

"not to mention the "full-floating-without-tuning-issues-gang""

LOL! Got to admit I'm part of that gang, but I don't play in a gigging band.

Tony F, you'll get over your guilt, even with the trem blocked or decked or whatever. :-)

I "strade" awhile back, went with a Tele as my #1 for a couple of years. I think that I'm fully a recovered Strat player again.

If you have quality guitars with proper setups then as you move to one you have not played in some time it becomes your #1. With that said, the Strat has the best balance of tone, features, and comfort of all guitars, IMHO of course.

Not sure what happened to the OP, but it's interesting that this topic came up.

I was a Strat guy for years, but switched to Teles, and now I'm using my White Falcon in the band I'm jamming with.

That said, I picked up one of my (11) Strats last night, and got sucked in and couldn't put it down. I hadn't given any of them much playing time in years.

They are great instruments! It was cool to "come home" for a little bit!
