...most likely not Tremolux...

From Fenderguru.com:

"The 2×10″ closed cabinet that came with the Tremolux is practically sized and performs well on most stages. Oxfords or CTS speakers were delivered with these cabinets in the blackface years."

The threaded inserts for attaching the head to the cabinet are set at different widths. The Bandmaster is about 2" wider than a Bassman. I believe the Bandmaster is 25" from center to center on those threaded inserts. A lot of Bassman cabs had Jensen C12NA speakers.

The blackface Bassman head is 22 1/4" wide.

The blackface Bandmaster head is 24" wide.

Measure your speaker cab and see.

center to center of the mounting holes is 23" does that make it Bandmaster or Bassman. It does have orginal Jensons :)

Does it make any difference value wise? thks

23" would make it a Bassman. A Bandmaster is 2" wider than a Bassman so it's 25" center to center on the inserts in the cab. The actuall width of the amp head cab is narrower. There are two brackets, on on each side of the amp head that slide out to the sides and are attached to the cab with thumb screws.

It's worth what someone's willing to pay. If it has the 60's brown and gold labled Jensen C12N 12" speakers I would say it could easily bring $700-$850 . I've seen a few mint ones like that go for this much. Remember you can always come down so start higher. Those speakers alone I have seen sell as high as $200-$250 each but that doesn't mean you cannot find them cheaper. I've seen them sell as low as $150 each. It's all about timing and what the seller is looking to get for them and how fast they need to sell them. I'd be interested myself but now is not the best timing for me. I've spent quit a big chunk on vintage and modern gear over the last year.
