I have a Modern player Tele. I installed VNs and it sounds great. I did install an adapter in bridge and use a strat VN, also the same in middle. Neck is a Tele VN.This guitar really rocks with these pickups.

My '71 Tele is Nashville modded. I have Fender Tele Noiseless in it at present with a RWRP Strat PU in the middle. Love it. Still bitey and more quiet that stock.
