FDP Forum / Fender Guitars: Jaguars & Jazzmasters / MIJ PU or US PU?

Hi, i've found a pair of second hand 65 reissue jags pickup. The seller guarantees they are original US pickups but i wonder if there's a way to make a visual difference between US an Japanese Pick ups.
Thank you

The '65 reissue will have cloth push back wire and MIJ will have poly wire insulation. The MIJ may also be ceramic magnet types with magnet strip across the back or the PUs. If you buy these plan on adding some foam under them as the ceramic MIJs are thicker.

Those RI PUs are quite nice. I'm not as fond of the MIJs but they are not awful. I have RIs in my MIJ JM. I got a deal on a pair last June and they made my MIJ JM sound like my long gone '62 AVRI.
