Ryder....it was kinda hard for me to choose which one i liked better....2 different players, 2 different amps....they both sounded pretty nice.....i could easily do either one...;-0

for some reason tele's with a middle pickup get in the way of my picking....I've had 3 of them...but none presently..

after seeing John Fogerty a red tele with maple neck, I am seriously jonesing for one

GF, I can see why.

I went for the lighter weight, important aspect for me.

As jhawkr said, "Everyone was amazed at the different tones I got out of it with basically just the 3-way and my fingers!"

That's what I need at church. And I can tell already because there are 3 good tones that are all useable.

I'll report in what I thought of it...through a Pod Pro, before the Super Bowl.

I played a gold one the other day and man I tried, I really tried... especially with my predilection for gold guitars...but try as I might I could not hang with the lack of a tone control. I had a Squier '51 for a while that was cool but it was much the same with that guitar. That said, this isn't about me it's about NGD for Mr. Ryder. Enjoy that beastie in good health! It's a real looker!

Itchy, Itchy, Itchy, sorry man!

I played at church today. Oh what a "glorious" sound. I didn't miss the tone knobs at all. Clean, overdrive, both sounded great.

"She's a keeper".

I didn't miss my P90s either. Not getting rid of them but this guitar is a lot of fun!

IMO, the simplicity of the Cabronita with 3 distinct and useable tones allows you to concentrate on feel, attack and nuances of the fingers rather than fiddling with knobs. And, the tones it does have are arguably better because they are routed through minimal wiring, pots, caps, etc.

Glad you are enjoying the Cab Steve!

Someone said, "I usually keep my tone knobs on 10."

Me too, that's why I don't miss them on this guitar.

Still only the first week I ve had it so time will tell. I sure like it a lot now!

Thanks Jim.

I ALWAYS keep my tone knobs on 10; in fact, on one of my Strats, I disconnected them! True No-Load!

I've had this guitar for about 3 weeks. I play at church and it handles everything very well. Clean, dirty, and distortion.

It's working out very well. Easy to play, lightweight, sounds great...what else could you want?
