Is there a difference in the pickup between a right and left handed P-Bess? My first PU swap in a left handed P-Bass is coming to my bench soon.

It's a '68 (original) and the owner, friend and former band mate wants a hotter fuller richer PU. I personally like the Seymour Duncan Quarter Pound PU and have one in my personal P-Bass. I'm thinking of going that route in the '68.

He was considering adding a J-Bass PU and I talked him out of it. I would not route a new PU cavity in a vintage bass or guitar anyway.

Lefties or others? comments?

While I'm no expert, I don't think there would be any difference.

The two parts of the typical P bass pickup should go equally easily into a righty or a lefty.
