What do we think of the '57 Custom Champ? I have been looking at this one for awhile now and I've been tempted...

I think that Fender did a good job on the new tweeds. Only downside I see is the price.

I was considering the Fender 57 Deluxe. I ended up buying a Lil Dawg 57 Deluxe due to equal or better build quality and better price.

Doesn't look to be much of a price difference between the Lil Dawg Champster @ $800+ and the 57 Champ and it comes without a speaker and is 8 watts vs. 5 watts. So, not exactly apples vs apples. @ 1K the Champ isn't cheap but nothing hand wired with premium components is.

Yeah, the Fender is really nice. Price is not much of an issue if you like it and use it. I've had my 59 BMRI since 1990, 26 years. That works out to $28 per year. I still like and use it. Same with my HRDx and other equipment. Buy quaility, take care of it, and it will give you a lifetime of pleasure and you won't remember what it cost. Buy something you don't like and everytime you look at it you will be reminded of money you wasted on it.

The 57 Fender Champ is a great amp!
