I am really curious about the new amps they introduced. I see them for sale but wonder if anyone has played one yet? Champ, Deluxe, Pro or Twin

Oddly, my little town has gotten a new '57 Pro. I got to be the first person to sit down with it out of the box and was considering down sizing my Vibro-King Stack for a smaller custom tweed. First impression- sounds like my amp but as half the size (basically if I don't use the extension cabinet). I alway thought that my amp had little in terms of options but when stacked up against The Pro, it's deluxe. The Pro does have a lot of chime, a lot of bottom end and it breaks up sweetly when it goes beyond 12 o'clock. Lots of great natural compression when hit hard. It's a great amp. If I didn't have what I owned I would consider making this my own. BUT I already own a superior amp that is (in it's most basic form) as big as the Pro and even though it's heavier than any other contemporary Fender amp the passive electronics allow my amp to sound like a cranked tweed at any volume (trade off for that huge transformer that adds to the weight). I think I would have liked the deluxe more than the Pro and I think I understand why people may grab that amp first out of the 3 they just released (based on break up threshold). Anyway, mystery investigated.

I have all three from the first time they were released from the custom shop and I am waiting on delivery of the new Pro amp. If you really like tweed tone harmonics and buttery breakup then these are awesome amps. I use mine for open E slide guitar.
