Joe thats great! Would love to have you there

I know with the Holidays here this place gets a little empty. Will look for a push to see who can come after the Holidays so we can get a head count

enjoy whatever it is you celebrate even if its time off from work (which is worth celebrating!)

Happy Holidays Brethren;

@Steve: I apologize! You are 100% right! It's just that I had this vision of you sitting on a tree stump, playing a Banjo, wearing a "Kilt" (don't worry, I have no intention of looking up the kilt).

BUT! In the true spirit of the holidays, I will bring my "Cajon Box", spoons, and washboard; and sit right next to you and play along with whatever songs you choose to play. (There is no doubt in my mind that Peegoo & G-Man will post that picture in a heartbeat!)

Anyway: I think we got off to a good start for the March on DC. Use this holiday time to spread the word, the last one was "GREAT".

The "Voices" in my head all wish you the best!

They are calling me right now because they want their medication; Got to go.

Merry Christmas, all!

One more Tom Petty suggestion: Listen to Her Heart.

I just have gone through a fine YT lesson on this song by FDP member "hoodrio".

GREAT tune. Listen To Her Heart is perhaps one of the top 100 rock and roll tunes ever recorded.

If you guys are up for a Steely Dan tune, stick Rikki Don't Lose That Number on the list. I'll sing and guitar.

my band did the Matthew Sweet and the Ben Harper tunes... went over very well and tons of fun to play

trying to suggest things that are not the classic geezer rock comfort zone of most. Plus tunes we have not played in a while that are the classic geezer rock comfort zone ;)

I have some requests for some newer songs.

Shut and Dance- Walk the Moon (U2 style guitars)- www.youtube.com/watch?v=mjdIJ5ZSpSk

Hey Geronimo- Sheppard (drives nicely, great backing vocals) www.youtube.com/watch?v=E-SeaCZE2TM

and this ditty which has an infectious groove. Dont know if this group is ready to receive this but please just listen to the music, just dont discard based on looks (tho the video is quite fetching)

DNCE - Cake By The Ocean

you know, I hate change as much as the next guy. the next angry middle aged guy.

but i must admit that the DNCE video with the old fat guy getting cake and frosting rubbed into his skin by bikini clad babes on the beach was a very strong selling point.

while I am still digging the gray-haired space chick in the Matthew Sweet video, i think we could add Cake by the ocean to The List.

shut up and dance... I seem to have heard that before... not bad.

Hey Geronimo...... it might work. Mexican radio might be better

true story. I what to suggest "I want to tell you" by the Beatles
nice guitar riff, driving keys, playful harmonies
perfect jam song

but my first search came up with a Japanese cover band that not only reproduced the Liverpool accent but added a thick Japanese accent on top
clearly their English far exceeds my Japanese but the blend is ...unforgettable

Tokyo meets Liverpool

one last post (I promise... tonight... I don't get out much) we've done "Simply Irresistible" before at clamfest
but is is a happy song
and I can just picture Chickie listening to the voices in his head as he did the drum solo in the bridge

She's a craze you'd endorse, she's a powerful force

Yes Steve, all of the voices in my head saw the video, and have voted; It's "UNANIMOUS".

"Listening" to the video was not the issue. "We" will make room for all of the dancers on stage, SOMEHOW!! (I'll figure out the drum solo later.)

I see you are taking some of the same "meds" that "we" (the voices) are. Aren't they GREAT!

OK Back to the Griz-Cave I go! See you soon.
