Couldn't pass this jem up. This heck of a nice guy who use to play professionally was selling off several of his guitars from his personal collection of 150 guitars. He's wanting to downsize due to health issues and having less available storage room in a new location. He bought this guitar new just before he had a serious back accident and never played or had it set up. Like the title says, it's a 2-Color Sunburst Ash Maple neck 00 American Series Strat. It's in flawlessly New sick condition. Exactly what I was endlessly looking for which seemed like forever. I wanted a Strat that matches my Tele, sort of like having twins. It weighs 7.5 lb. plays and sounds so good if I could only stop looking at it long enough.

Nice. It's awesome when FDPers make these scores. I was lucky enough to score a 2006 50th anniversary AmSers Strat, the one with the replica '54 pups and 2TSB. I lived life thinking it always happens to somebody else until the day I first saw the case and knew what was contained inside. It looks very similar to yours, roadhog96. The one I scored was barely played and is in perfect condition. I got it from a mate of mine who's father recently passed away. He wanted to get rid of it quickly so I got a good deal. I'm humbled I have it and I honour his father by playing it regularly. It was set-up exactly to my preferences so I've never had a need to do adjustments.

"...a 2006 50th anniversary AmSers Strat..."

Is there really such a guitar as that? Shouldn't it be a 2004?

If it's a 50th Anniversary then it's a 2004. The 50th Anniversary American Series Strat started life as the same guitar as mine. The only differences are the CS '54 PU's and 1-ply parchment pickguard, 50th engraved neck plate and the imbroided 50th patch inside cover of the case. I was actually looking for one of those until I saw this guitar.

It's a beauty. Brown sunburst is to Strats and butterscotch blond is to Teles. IMHO.

I just edited the completed date for this guitar, it's a 00 not 02. The seller told me it was a 00 but the info that Fender Cunsumer Relations sent me said it was a 02. Last night I sent another question about the completed date and serial number and they apologized for the error and confirmed it's a 00.
It's not a big deal I luv it just as much.

Nice piece of ash. I've got a '56 NOS CS in two-tone ash and it's everything I ever wanted in a Strat.
