Who's interested in rocking in DC in 2017, in the slush of early March, like we did last winter?

It seems a mite early to think about a March jam, but mid-December is the best time to book the Electric Maid, if we want to reclaim that divey, cheap performance space. Unless things have changed, noise restrictions on Saturdays means that an all-day jam there has to be on a Sunday, such as Feb 25, March 5, or March 12. (Caveat: I haven't checked these dates with the Maid.)

We had a great response, participation, and feedback last winter--with a solid and much-appreciated cadre of out-of-towners--and the music was a blast. We now have experience to make the jam even better.

Please chime in with your opinions and whether you might be able to attend, and we'll see if we can get the ball rolling!

Definitely interested, and looking forward to it! I'm checking those Sunday dates, so far so good. As soon as you lock the date down, we will make it happen.

Mr."Goo"; I will match your offer, and handle the drums & percussion gear for the Jam. I will even throw in "Littlehand" (AKA "Big Foot")(You are going to love that story!)(Pending a current negotiation with Mojodelic)

OK: Back to the Grizbear "Den" for hibernation!

aww shucks guys with accolades like that how can i refuse ;)

Ok lets assume that there WILL be a March on Washington so lets start on suggestions so I have lots o time to prepare all the interweb polls

Andrew I am hoping Kim will be able to provide her awesome voice and we should ask her to suggest tunes she likes.
I am sure Gimmee Shelter with Kim is a must do..

Open cattle call to see who is in so we can start the process.
K9- hopefully you can come and bring that B3 sound

Those who did not make the last one. The venue is a private for rent place with a great stage and store front. Last time the admission covered some grub, refreshments and the venue costs. It was a great time and the people were amazing- no egos, great talent, focus on collaboration and a good time

If you have not done an FDP jam come out and see what all the fuss is about. You will NOT be disappointed

I'll take a look at those 3 dates. I'm planning a trip to South Carolina possibly in March so I have to see how that lines up with the jam.

We will be heading back to NJ around the end of March and would be very agreeable to stopping in for an adult beverage or two with you all.

will there be a theme? perhaps in honor of the recent....long, long, long.... campaign season we should do "the long and winding road"... or maybe "Highway to hell"?

seriously though, I've been thinking of "whipping Post".... which may or may not be related to the election

and I've been listening to Joe Jackson's "I'm the man" album (yes, I still say album, I'm old)
would there be any love for "Friday" or "Don't Wanna Be Like That" "different for girls" or even "I'm the man"?

music trivia, Graham Maby, Joe Jackson's bass player, also toured with They might be Giants and appeared in the movie "Peggy Sue got Married" as part of Marshall Crenshaw's band
and TMBG and Marshall Crenshaw are pure Steve music
it is the inter-relatedness of all things

Attention! The March on Washington is ON for Sunday, March 5. I've just confirmed with the Electric Maid. We will have the place from 10 AM to 7 PM.

Let the craziness commence...

[ADDED:] Now that we're scheduled, I've started a new thread for detailed jam plans and chatting.
