FDP Forum / Fender Amps: 1985 - Current / Fender Fuse software issues

Nov 26th, 2016 03:07 PM   Edit   Profile

I bought a Fender Mustang ll amp and love it. Where I am having a problem is with the Fuse software. I contacted Fender and they sent me a few solutions but they won't work. I have a MacBook Pro computer with the latest software upgrade and it won't run software from anyone but Apple or Apple verified providers. Basically, it just won't connect no matter what I try.
My question is, has anyone else encountered this, and if so, what can I do?
The second question is, can anyone show me what the fuse software looks like and what the settings are from a screen shot? I would love to see what the presets look like.
Thank you guys.

Is Silverlight installed on your Mac?

Sometimes Fuse just doesn't seem to install properly on some computers. I have Fender Fuse on one of my older WinXP machines right now, and mirrorboy is correct that Microsoft Silverlight will need to be on (or concurrently installed) on your machine. When things install and work properly, it is very cool software ..... and is especially useful for us Mustang I and II owners.

I understand Microsoft no longer supports Silverlight (always a problem when depending on third-party items) but it should still be available and still work OK when installed.

Here's a screen shot of Red Channel presets on my Mustang Iv2 :

I would jump aboard the Fuse users' group Website and look there for similar issues. I'll bet they have a solution for you.

Why do I keep fixing things that work?

I had a similar problem with my MacBook Pro, and the solution was to remove the prior installed software for my Presonus Fire Studio and then reload the new software. Make sure you have it connected after you have removed the old software or it will not discover the hardware and allow for the drivers/software to install!!!
It was super frustrating until I did this, because the upgrade to my computer operating system wouldn't even recognize my Fire Studio or the mixer. Do this and it may cure your problem!
A Windows based computer will just overwrite the files but a Mac will not. ......

Hey Phoenix did you find a resolve for your issue?

Like I had said, once I installed the new operating system on my MacBook, all of my previous Presonus software would not work or recognize the hardware, so I uninstalled the previous version and updated with the new software without any problems.

Just wanted to bump this up and see if you found a solution to share and if my resolve was the same for you.

Best Regards, Woody
