I ask since most amps I've had were fender and the only Tweed style i own is a AA763 Champ build.

I used the black chicken head knobs. Happen to like the fender SF and Blackface knobs.

I don't mind the chicken type and do have 2 cream ones and 4 cream round knobs Fender used on the first BF 6G2 princeton and 2 of the same type brown. Can't use the SF/BF type because to large and would cover the face numbers and 2 sets of numbers.

Thought I'd use the Brown round Fender knobs with the white line since this build's cab is all Mahogany 3/4" ply and a brown /gold round speaker grill. Never mind the brown knobs I need three. I looked on AES and see they still have the real fender knobs without the brass insert that always seems to crack the plastic. That's the type I have. Have plenty of SF/BF type and black chicken head.

I did have three sort of narrow panel tweed 94 Pro Jr and 2001 black tolex Pro Jr and a 94 tweed blues deluxe.

I think the small round fender knobs might have a better feel just one finger used.

I like front facing panels best though.

" I looked on AES and see they still have the real fender knobs"

They also stock an aftermarket knock-off for less money.
Don't go there.

Chicken heads and stove knobs (think early Ampeg) make a lot of sense on amps because from 10 feet away you can see where they're set.

Round knobs with winky little pointer lines are dopey on amps, especially on less-than-ideal lighting situations.

Same goes for chicken head knobs on a guitar: dopey! Can't easily wrap a pinky around 'em and nudge 'em into position.
