Will have to see what they street for and whether it's maple only.
Maple: nope nope nope nope.

Spec sheets I saw posted on another forum stated that fret board options included both maple and rosewood.
The JM might be an interesting partner for my Thinskin JM.
No info on pricing anywhere I've seen.

I like the new colors. Grey, olive. Classy.

From another forum, the street price is $1499.
And rosewood neck on an Olympic white or 3TS Jazzmaster, but only on a white Jag. No mystic seafoam on the Jag, either.

I was at a local dealer yesterday, who said the Fender rep had brought a few Pro series to show him. He took some pics - a Jazzmaster in Mystic Seafoam, and a Jag in Sonic Grey.
His pics looked better than the Fender ones I've seen so far. He said both finishes looked much better in person. The grey is kind of a bluish-grey.
He ordered some, which should be in, I believe, in a few weeks.

Sweetwater has them up with info (not in stock).
No rhythm circuits on either. Sigh.
No apparent strangle switch on the jaguar.

On the Jaguar, looks like some of the modifications were transferred from the Johnny Marr model. The four position pickup selector, neck shape, Mustang saddles. The Johnny Marr retained the strangle switch as well the new one shown. The treble bleed looks like a good feature as well as the adjustable trem bar. The Johnny Marr uses shims to stablize the trem bar and the bridge. Narrow tall frets are good for staying in tune vs wide frets.
Looks like an excellent guitar on paper.

Fender Demo of the Professional JM and Jags
Alert!
Close ups of the neck indicate the high E string is
extremely close to the edge of the fretboard above the 12th fret due to a mismatch of spacing of the bridge.
This is has been a problem with the Johnny Marr Jags
If anyone can confirm or deny this by trying one in real life please let us know.
Thanks :)

I saw a Pro JM in seafoam at the local Fender dealer (didn't have time to test drive it).
I have also read on another forum about the E string concern. Looking at the neck, I saw no issue at all, the entire length of the fingerboard. Plenty of room, for both E strings.
I really liked the look of it. He also has a Jag in Sonic Gray due in a few weeks.

Jaguar string alignment is good on the Johnny Marr model.

Another review of the Pro series at the link below.
Generally positive but it does mention the E strings close to the edge issue.

The classic circuitry was a huge part of what made the Jag and JM both so special and unique.
These new ones? Meh.

Concur about the circuitry but the I also like to see them in an updated version. I prefer my 62 thin skin (which as a handful of updated features as well). It's good to see so many Jags and JM's out there at the moment.

Finally saw these in the flesh and had a chance to play them unplugged.
The fit and finsih seemed good
The necks eemd a bit thicker than on my AVRI jag.
The Mystic Seafoam looks fantastic.
The other finishes seem dull in comparison.
