FDP Forum / The 'Pup' Tent / What neck and middle pickup to pair with a Duncan SSL-5 Bridge ?

Over the weekend I scored a lefty Mexican Strat neck and body. Fortunately the nut was cut righty, as I'm going to do up a lefty played righty like Joe Perry had at one time.

I've got a few pickups I can put in there, and most likely going with a Seymour Duncan SSL-5 in the bridge.

Many folks recommend pairing it with Duncan SSL-1's in the neck and bridge, but I wanted to throw it out there to see what you guys might think would pair well with the SSL-5.

Thanks !

Many Gilmour fans like the SSL-5 bridge matched with Fender CS '69 pups in the middle and neck. Add in that toggle to get the bridge and neck on together and you've got alot of versatility.

If I was doing this I'd make certain that the replacements had lefty staggered magnets, especially on the neck. My first choice would be SD Alnico II's
