I really like my London Reverb... great big authentic Fender clean, lots of eq options, 2 in/out loops...even the overdrive in channel 2 is usable.
Any other users of these 3 fine amps on this forum?

I have a 1969 Super Showman XL1000. It's not working and the Oxford 12" speakers need to be reconed. When it works it is a good sounding thumper. I need to get it going again. It was from the Seth Lover Fender history chapter and their first foray into SS amps. It has never been a trustworthy amp. It was a very short chapter.

Yeah... I think that first foray is why this later, Rivera-era range, 13 years later, might have been mistrusted and therefore didn't sell well.

Hi, I'm an ampoholic. Hi Hal!Nov 5th, 2016 11:18 PM Edit Profile
I was in a band with a guy who used a Montreux. Good sounding amp. I don't remember him having any problems with it.

This guy's selling some original footswitches. (I have no commercial link with him)

The Super Showman was a great amp, albeit somewhat of an oddball: powered cabs that could be daisy-chained to suit the occasion, enough highs to scare away every dog within a three-mile radius and a preamp with fuzz, reverb, tremolo and an E-tuner. Mine had a huge 8x10 cab.
These guys had walls of them:

Oh yeah, and I'm forgetting that great onboard
Leslie-effect called Dimension IV, which consisted of an oil-filled can mounted inside the preamp head cab. This could also be bought as an outboard device:

About as ordinary as you can get. Jan 11th, 2018 08:01 PM Edit Profile
All I have from the solid state era is an old 4 channel PA head and 1 speaker column. The PA head still works great.

I was referring only to the guitar amps from 1982-84, but this is interesting stuff too... thanks for the Dimension IV clip, it never crossed my mind that someone would show one on YouTube.
