i have a blues jr i love but the reverb has to be almost all the way up to get any at all. Any ideas. I cleanded the conection on the tank but the other end of the wires go inside the chasis.

I bought a replacement tank. $25 It was an easy swap.

You can take the tank out and check to see if the springs are still hooked on

Is there any way to test the tank

You can check each coil for continuity with an ohm meter. You can open up the amp to check the cables.

You can visually inspect the tank like picnic suggested.

You can substitute to see if your tank works in an amp that uses the same tank.
