Thanks to everyone involved today in another wonderful Clamfest. I LOVE these events and catching up with my jamming friends once or twice a year. Special thanks to Pete, his staff, and George, who always go way overboard to make these days great.

I'll echo all the above sentiments from my fellow clam jammers . .
and would like to add my thanks for everyone indulging me in my attempt to play the steel guitar on some of the tunes. I'm still just finding my way around this instrument and really appreciated the encouragement from youse guys.
Of course big thanks to the Jam Commander and G-man. Looking forward to next spring.

Just got back an hour ago. Have to echo the posts above about Pete & his staff & George. this thing would never happen without you guys.

I realized after I left I didn't say goodbye to some of you- I guess when everything was loaded I just left. Hope everyone got home safely- I saw two suvs (one coming up / one today coming home) flipped on their side. The one today was unsettling, it involved some kids. You never know when you might not see someone again...

The jam was another great one, and reminded me why I drive from Atl each time. Frankie A, your lap steel stuff was awesome; ROE was spot on. I thought you did indeed channel Mr. Lindley.

I always enjoy (and am humbled) playing with all of my fellow FDP brethren. Chickie, I'm not taking Littlehand home with me, even though we're twin brothers form different mothers...

If I make it back QJ & I have to do the obligatory SD tune!

"Pics or it didn't happen!"
oooh it happened Mr Goo....it happened

but as usual I was too busy to take any pics or video but I do recall that some did.

Thanks to Johnny Socko, SteveCarlo, DeepEnd and Chickie for set up and gear (plus a few others I forgot).

Clamfest is a team effort. I got write ups and corrections to write ups in the emails, people offering equipment and any help they could. I could not do the VooDoo that I Do so well without all of you great people helping me. It is truly humbling how much help you guys offer and execute. I am embarrassed to take all the credit for the set up and running of these when it really is such a group effort

Pete- always a pleasure Sir. Thank you for your hospitality and venue

Dont forget to buy a star from CG if you can. Its this site that connects us to do these jams so we need to keep the doors open.

so many highlights but its the spur of the moment things that stick. The closer was to be Hard Days Night. But Pete did not want the fun to end so we did about 6-8 songs as a closer. Some Beatles, clash, The Knack... so many tunes everyone just seemed to know. By the end I knew it was clamfest as I was tired, my body ached, I had no voice but I had a stupid big ear to ear grin on my face...

Thanks everyone for such a great time!

well.... that certainly was fun.
can we do it again?

PS yes, PeeGoo it didn't happen it was all an elaborate hoax like the moon landings. we have a mock-up of OTL in a back lot in Hollywood. and we lip-synced Milli-Vanilli videos in an ultimate act of irony
skilled technicians are fabricating the photos as i type this.

now you can't leave.

Once again this is the best day of the year. Friends, tunes, gear, laughs, food, drinks and playing on stage live with some of my best friends who I only see once or twice year. You all are dear friends and after 20 or so ClamFests, the jam never gets old or boring.

Playing live is always fun. Playing with this crew is even better. Amazing on the spot performances, truly talented people. If ClamFest is on your bucket list, it's worth the effort to get here to meet the people who come to it.

As the world's most interesting man said, "I don't always rock, but when I do, I turn it up to 10 at ClamFest."

Hey FDP friends...Just a couple of words (LOL)

@Steve Carlo....""Quote of the day from my dear Mother: "That man does have a little hand, but he has big feet."" ROFLMAO! It was great meeting her...what a sweet lady! Great cake too.

Food was good and plentiful(Sarah's Clams were delish!), bacon dogs were hot, and the beer flowed all day.

After reading the last 20 posts, I realized we didn't take the traditional "Group Pic". Imagine that it would have been dark, wet, and muddy, but everyone woulda' had a huge smile and a pointed finger to the sky!

Too many magically memorable moments to list, but I think the the most impressive stuff came from the newer and newest "Clammers". Wee-oh-weeow! Youse guyz rawked it outta the park in MEGAWATTS.

Mojodelic...so glad to see you and also thankful you're home safe. We shall do this again!

Grizbear actually had steam left this Jam as we had a bunch of drum talent available (last Jam...he was "it"). I was especially impressed with that "small-handed Ringo wannabe" playing along on "Do It Again". Like...WOW! He had some radical rudimentary rukus going on, didn't he? (heh, heh!)

BIG THANKS once again to the SJC, Picnic, for the venue and shelter from the rain. He is too gracious, too generous, and WAY too humble (but you guys know already that). Gman, you know we ALL love you tons...Oh yeah...only ONE Mulligan"...lol..., Johnny-Soundo-Socko for the sound support..., Grizbear for providing enough percussion gear to make Santana's band jealous, Gerry the Baker for the Crumb cake, truly a Clamfest staple and tradition, and all the rest of the clammers who braved the weather and long treks to make the Jam a huge success!

Oh yeah! Happy birthday again to SteveCarlo (thanks for leaving the "Daisey-dukes" home, bro). :^D

I can't wait til next Spring when hopefully the SJC will call in the troops again!

Best to all and as GMan suggests...be sure to contribute some "stars" to Mr. Green who make this communication possible.

Keep a pickin' and I'll keep a grinnin'.

;^D

P.S. Some clammer managed to leave a Levy's guitar strap which is in my possesion until claimed...buh-bye!

Brethren of the Clamfest, that was a FANTASTIC time;Thank "You ALL" for another great experience.

I'm not going into names, but "Well Done" everybody!

My philosophical outlook; I get an opportunity to play a number of songs (that I always wanted to play), but never had the chance to; with a pool of talent that I never imagined possible. PLUS! the "Crumb Cake" is out of this world.

Everything has been said already, but there are some issues that must be addressed.

@-Mojodelic: I am sure we can come to some arrangement for you to adopt Littlehand, we can continue the negotiations at a later date.

@-Steve Carlo: Your mother hit the nail on the head about Littlehand! Oh, and I know you had your "Daisy Dukes" on under your shorts. And again, Happy Birthday my friend.

@-Littlehand: You are so LUCKY that Mom likes you best!

Got to go! The voices in my head are calling a round table meeting right now!

Finally found my password to post on this thing!

Thanks everyone for an awesome time. This was my second clamfest and I am hooked. I wish we could have one every week. Truly a privilege to play with you all. Such amazing players and even better people. Thanks for welcoming me into this special event. QJ told me you were all great people and he was right on the money.

Can’t wait for the Spring!
