I bought a Yamaha TRBX304 bas on clearance at Guitar Center today for just over $200. I'm amazed at how nice this instrument is, considering the price.

I'm not a bass player, but I play one on recordings at times. (:oD

Wow: double humbucking pickups, an active tone circuit, and Yamaha quality, DELIVERED, for two Ben Franklins?

That is a no-brainer.

It's free, because when an item is half price like this one, you buy it with the money you saved!

I was actually able to do some slap technique on this bass because it played so easy. The set up was perfect, no string rattling. The neck profile is very guitar player friendly.

Nice looking bass, 34" scale and 24 frets, not too many basses have 24 frets these days. With 2 pickups and those controls, you should be able to get a big variety of tones out of that one. Nice score.

It just happened to be a clearance item at Guitar Center when I went shopping for a bass. I just got lucky.
