Has fender finally ended producing Vibro-kings? The Fender webpage only has the 212 cabinet for purchase anymore. I know that there are a few others coming into the custom line in the coming weeks but the vk is not there. Is this the end of an era?

Probably.

Models come and go...and often come back.

Long run, if so. I had one early on. I liken in to a Supermodel girlfriend I had no business having, lol. I was much more comfortable with a DRRI, although I have some fond memories.

I have toyed with down sizing but it is the bees knees. Just after the 20th anniversary issue- how appropriate. Still love mine.

That seems strange, as it has been the flagship amp for the past many years. I have my two blonde tolex V-Ks, 1995 and 2001, both mint.

Maybe this is just the end of the 20th anniversary (since that year has passed). Maybe this will just be available in its standard format. Either way this was an interesting tidbit at the fender site.

That amp has taught me a lot about what an amp should be able to do. It doesn't have to be loud to sound loud; If needed it can get somewhere between a super and twin; the closet fender comes to a hand wired 63 reverb plus it reminds me that i have to stay healthy if i want to move that thing around. in a class by itself.

I placed an order for the 20th Anniversary Edition (pine) in November and just picked it up today! Sounds amazing.

Good choice! I have been using mine since 2003. Always makes me feel good, all the things it can do. I usually don't even like to have pedals between my guitar and amp, it sounds so good.
