Hi there,

I've got a 70's Jazz Bass copy with some great looking tuners I'll have to replace at least one because it split off last night. I'll send some pictures, I hope it's not too difficult to find a solid replacement.

Please help me out here! lol, check out the pics and think what will be a good replacement.

Best,
Steve

Some images of the headstock and tuning keys. The G-String has popped off sadly. Oh well, better at home than on stage.

Ibanez used those bass tuners in the 70s. I would think a replacement would be available that would fit. Let me look around...

Allparts sells a similarly-mounted tuner (four screws through a stamped steel cover, see link), but the knobs are cast units--not plates like your originals.

If you're trying to keep your bass as close to original as possible, another option is fleabay. Plenty of out-of-production guitar/bass parts come up for auction there.

I was given a 2005 Squier Jazz Bass that has tuners similar to these. I is a phenomenal bass. When I got it I thought the tuners would be junk but they were actually very nice.
