Hi
I finally found an MIJ Bass VI (in my fav CAR colour) so I didn't have to take my '62 Bass VI to gigs on my motorbike...
... and the MIJ neck is nothing like the '62. It's chunkier while the '62 is lovely and slim.
Sigh. Just ... sigh...

Have you tried one of the Squier VIs?
They may not have the fit+finish of the MIJs, but sound very, very good and play well.

Thanks @reverendrob
No I haven't. Would their necks be different to the MIJ Bass VI's?
I must admit, I'm spoilt with my two slab board 1962 Bass VI's (3 switch and 4 switch) - slim necks, almost like guitar. The MIJ is quite chunky in comparison

I'm happy with the Squier and the MIM in the baseline necks. It's comfortable, smaller than the Jazz Bass neck by a hair.
I haven't played a MIJ VI in ages, they're rare here as most MIJs are.
