FDP Forum / Fender Amps: 1985 - Current / Flat cable on Fender Hot Rod Deluxe.

Hello everybody, new guy here.

I friend brings me hes Fender Hot Rod Deluxe for repair it.

So, I opened the amp and I found some horrible things..

Aparentely, the amp was "repaired" some time ago.
I found that the originals flat cables than connect the main board to the power tubes board were extracted of the amp and replaced with normal wires. An awfull job.

So, I was looking for the original type of flat cable (6 conductores, only one solid wire per conductor) at Mouser electronics, digikey and I didn't found it.

Would you have some idea where I can get some o this cable or similar? Here's a pic:

I took a look at the service manual for the HRD. It looks like the ribbon cable you seek has a part number and description of: QTY Req-3, 050687 JMPR 6 CKL .156 ROUND. "050687" being the part number.

You should be able to order this online or from a Fender dealer.

I looked at Digi-Key and when you filter with solid you lose all options. Mouser was even less helpful.
