I've had my 64 AV for just over a year now and I have to say it is my favorite guitar. It is a tone monster and so easy to play. Love the 7.25"R. With the rosewood fingerboard and steel saddles, it is not as ice-picky or shrill as 50's offerings can be. It doesn't look like the Tele everyone else plays but it works for me!

Looks like one I'd like to play!

It's good to have a #1....especially when it's a Tele.

That's probably my favorite color scheme for a Tele. Enjoy it.

I agree, I got the maple neck version, the AV58. No regrets.

OK, then. Here's a deal for someone who isn't anal about a guitar's condition:

Yes, it sure is. And the only reason I posted this link is because, in spite of wanting one of these for the past three years or so, is that I just can't justify buying it for myself! As it is, I already have a runaway herd of guitars; each one had, in turn, called to me as if it were a Siren, promising to make me a better player. (This one would make me play like Mike Bloomfield, well, look like him at least... sort of.) Anyway, in spite of an imminent birthday, when spouses allow a little foolish excess, I just can't do it.

“009, 009! Buy me! I sound beautiful with 9s and play like butter. Come, hold me close and caress my curves. Let me sing you to heavenly bliss. You know you want me.”

Reminds me of Robben Ford's Tele. I like the looks.
