I have the neck and body described and I'm looking for ideas for the pick-guard, pickup covers and knobs. Pics appreciated if you have any.

Off the top of my head, thinking black with black bits or maybe mint or cream with aged bits, but not settled on either.

Planning an HSS pickup config.

White or cream would maximize the classic beauty of CAR.

I've done a black pg on a wine red body, and it's fine but not sublime (see previous post). IMHO

I would do a mint green guard with Fender parchment covers and knobs. Here is a picture of my bone-stock CAR/maple Blacktop HH with a mint guard.

One day I'm going to have CAR strat with maple neck/fb.
I *really* want it to have either a White Pearloid or Parchment Pearloid pickguard with white or parchment knobs depending on p/g.

I'm with Mick. I like the White Pearloid.

White pearl/MOTO or cream pearl/MOTO look fantastic with CAR and a maple board.

I think mint. I've got that setup on my '12 Strat

I have white pickup covers and the tips, knobs and pickguard are parchment.

I have to admit those mint guards look nice. Just pops at you.

The body is a Roadhouse or Lonestar ( I forget which.) that has a rear compartment routed for a battery box. Neck is from a Classic Player '50s. I'm considering going with EMG pickups a la Knopfler only in black with a carbon fiber guard. Kind of a mashup of classic and modern style, but the jury is still out.

I also have several sets of fender single coils, Tex Specs, Fat 50s, Abby '69s and hot noiseless, that I might use. They all have aged white covers that would go well with mint.

Teemon, it's ESP. Apologies if it breaks the rules.

Gold anodized would be my vote for that color combination. With white or parchment pickup covers, knobs, and switch tip.

I'm sorry, but there's no color pickguard that could save a CAR Strat.

ANY one of those over ANY EMG IMO.
