FDP Forum / Fender Amps: Vintage (before 1985) / Standby switch POP when turned off. SF AB763 single Showman

I finished restoring a '67 single Showman AB763. The only thing non original are the power tube sockets, PT, and Bias pot. Switches are all original.
Power to the amp is fine, but when I take it out of standby (signal to the OPT) there's a loud POP when I flip this switch. No pop flipping the switch back into standby mode.

Just wondering how normal this is.
Switch has been flushed with contact cleaner but because its sealed (unlike the power switch) I cannot take it apart to really brush it down.

Thanks.

My amps do the same thing. Seems like the severity of the pop is related to how high the volume is turned up. If you turn the volume to 0 before flipping the switch, you won't hear any pop. If it's turned up fairly high it can be a pretty intense pop.

Okay
I'm good with that.

Thanks
