I have an opportunity to pick up a very nice looking Ultimate Chorus (have not seen in person and do not know how it sounds or functions YET).

My two questions:

1) Anything to watch out for?

2) Assuming NO footswitch, can I use the 3 Button Fender switch labeled for "Channel Select - Gain - Reverb" (intended for use with the RocPro/Performer 1000, Concert, Super amps)...
... in lieu of the Ultimate Chorus amp foot switch labeled for "Channel Select - Reverb/Delay - Chorus/Modulation Fender part number 0055592000"?

Musician's Friend has the "Channel Select - Gain - Reverb" switch still available. I am less concerned about labels and more concerned about controlling the functions.

I gigged w/ one for a number of years. Very reliable ( at least for me). As far as foot switch, no clue. Maybe go to the official Fender site and see if they have anything.

EDIT: In order to show continuity in the thread I am not deleting this post...however, I was very seriously WRONG. I do have the DSP model and thus MUST have the 3 button footswitch. My error....and now back to the original thread:
==================================

Thanks to your reply, I did more research and found that the 3 button is for the Ultimate Chorus DSP which is NOT the one I am considering.

The one you linked is used for Princeton® Chorus, Ultimate Stereo Chorus, Automatic GT, Automatic SE and M80 Chorus amplifiers.

The amp I am looking at is not the "Ultimate Stereo Chorus" version, nor is it the "Ultimate Chorus DSP" version which requires a 3 button footswitch.

So, I went looking and found the following thread:

http://forums.fender.com/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=61244

And it suggests the following footswitch...

I think we are getting closer.

(Edit: No, the fat guy typing was WRONG. WRONG! Oh the shame of it all...)

Per the manual I believe you want the two button switch, which is also what I use for my Princeton Chorus (non-DSP).

OK, I did some closer reading and realized that I do not have the "standard" Ultimate Chorus...

I have the Ultimate Chorus DSP. (RATZ!!!)

The "traditional" Ultimate Chorus is a two button footswitch: P/N 0029972000

The Ultimate Chorus DSP requires the three button footswitch: P/N 0055592000.

If you happen to have one laying around, or saw one of the 3 button Chorus footswitches at the local pawn shop or "used gear shop" or your friendly, neighborhood Fender dealer...give me a shout. Otherwise....not having much luck.
