K&K Pure Mini pickups in all of my acoustics.
I own a Loudbox Mini and a Loudbox Performer. The Mini is good for 95% of what gigs I do. In short, I really like both a lot and am glad to own them.

Or... How about Fishman's Aura Spectrum DI box in front of their favorite ss or clean amp as an alternative to an acoustic amp rig? Good solution?

I use K&K's in all my guitars through a Loudbox Mini exclusively. I do at least 1 gig per month.
As much as I'd like to buy the latest, greatest stuff, there is nothin' the size of a Loudbox Mini that sounds even half good.

I have an older Loudbox 100, awesome amp. The other guitar player in my acoustic duo has the Mini and the newer equivalent to my 100, the Loudbox Artist? All three amps are just awesome.
Look for a used 100. You will not be disappointed. I find the 100 and the Artist have better low end than the Mini. Other than 2 XLR inputs and a tiny bit more power that you will never use the 100 and the artist are the same amp.
Regardless of what preamp you put in front of an amp using a dedicated acoustic amp will pay dividends sonically. The line outs are real handy at large venues as well where the amp basically becomes a stage monitor and you send the signal that you control to FOH.

My nephew received his Master of Music degree, majoring in Music Therapy a couple of weeks ago. My graduation gift was a Loudbox Mini. He's already used it at a couple of gigs (classical guitar) and is a very happy camper with it.

I have an older discontinued Loudbox 250. I love it but it's just not practical.
Heavy as all get out and when cranked it will bring down the walls of Jericho.
But there is no denying the sound quality.

I have an older Fishman amp but I'm not sure what model. It is now that loud but has a great tone.
I have K&K Pure Mini's in at least 3 of my acoustics. Best pickup I have found.

I purchased a mini to use in Church. For gigs I have a Carvin AG 100. The mini works exceedingly well. The only problem is that neither myself or the group leader can put the volume at 10:00, (probably around 3.5 on a Fender)because then our sound and the PA sound arrive at the back of the church out-of-phase.

I play bass in a country band, but when the guitarist and I play as acoustic duo we both have used the Minis for nearly four years strong. Bought mine new, he got his used and just last week his quit before a gig, lots of really loud hissy noise. We just shared my mic and he strummed unplugged. The local shop sent it to Fishman for evaluation/repair. Overall, they have been perfect for us playing the "senior home circuit." Now, he awaits a decision to repair or replace.

Fishman Loudbox 100 guy here. Great amp, great customer service. (I blew the speaker playing electric through it really loud - dumbass. They sent me a new speaker in spite of it being out of warranty). Used ones go for 200-300, might be some bargains out there.

what do you mean the bass is too loud?Jul 26th, 2016 10:17 AM Edit Profile
Don't recall the model, but got a used Stagg
Acoustic amp at GC for a song. British made,
not well known, so went cheap.
60W RMS, 10" speaker, SPRING reverb, Mic channel.
GORGEOUS, crisp, full sound !
Might be worth searching for also.

I found a Fishman Loudbox 100 in a pawn shop today for fairly cheap. Everything works and it sounds great.

I am considering the Fishman Artist Pro and the Mini. In two weeks I'll have about $480 worth of Backstage Pass points @ MF. I'm also buying a Radial ABY pedal. I have a Taylor T5z, Gibson J-45 with Fishman undersaddle, Martin 0028EC w/K&K Pure Mini and a nice Yamaha YC3R. I could buy the Mini & Radial and pay zero $$ or I could buy the Artist and Radial and would need to add about $180 to the points. Either way it's win-win. I like that the Artist has a few more bells and whistles with effects and a headphone jack, etc. The power difference is not an issue. The larger speaker might be.

I have the Mini, and love it. I have tried countless other amps over the years, and the Fishman Mini is the best. It even makes my cheap Ibanez acoustic/electric sound great!

I love mine. And I now love the fact when my acoustic duo rehearses, we can run vocals through the mini...
and is it just me, but the reverb on the unit is very nice, very smooth.
