I just installed a set of Fender Vintage Noiseless in my Dlx Lone Star strat.
I haven't spent too much time with them yet but initial impressions are very good.

Out of laziness (and experimentation) I installed them with the 250k pots that were already in the guitar.
I don't know how much brighter the included 500k and 1M pots would make things, but I can't imagine using them.
The VN's are plenty bright and sparkly to me with the 250k's.

I've got a couple rehearsals coming up next week, so should be a better testing ground.
My only question mark is whether I should have gone for the Hot's instead of the Vintage, but at house levels, they seem to balance well with my other strats equipped with Lace Sensors.

I heard people knock the VN's as "toneless" etc. but that's certainly not what I'm hearing.
Then again, I'm a fan of Lace Sensors too!

Mick, I have the VNs in one of my Strats and in two Teles. One of those is a Nashville style where the middle PU is from a Strat set. Overall I like them but they seem more responsive and toneful in some guitars than others. I tried them in one of my Am Dlx Strats and bleh, not so good. In an older Am Std they work very nicely. I do use a bit of clean boost almost all the time so....YMMV.

I have not tried the Hot version.....yet. I'm into ZanZandt Blues PUs at the moment for the Strats.

My Dlx Lone Star (MIM) is Alder body, Maple neck, solid steel saddles and decked trem.
I know the sum is greater than the whole of parts, but so far I haven't heard anything that makes me want to try them in one of the other strats.

Not to say that *couldn't* happen ;^P

edit: What pot values do you have?
