If the neck screws feel tight but the neck still slips around, I would suspect that the clearance holes in the body for the neck attachment screws are too small. If the guitar is under warranty, I would not recommend you try to remedy this yourself, but that's where I would guess the problem lies.

Oh, yeah.

You *want* demons in there if it's a Tele.

Let them out when you play a solo, and make sure they get back in there for next time.

Don't fear the reaper.

If he's really in there, it's all on YOU to play the Devil out of it!

Ok...honeymoon is over. The neck feels small or something. If I play my strat or sg and switch to my tele its almost like I am fighting with my tele.

please tell me it is because my Strat and SG have 10s on them while my tele has 9s. That is how they came from the factory...so i have not changed guages on them.

"...Strat and SG have 10s on them while my tele has 9s. That is how they came from the factory...so i have not changed guages on them."

The first thing I did with my CV 50's Tele was put 10's on it, but that's just my preference. Definitely worth the cost of a set of strings to find out if that's what's putting you off.

If it feels like your "fighting" it, maybe you need to look at the set up.
Check your neck relief and string action.

I see you have a strat with a Soft V neck profile which may contribute to the tele "feeling thin", but the Modern C shape on the CV's are usually a fairly "universal" fit (but we likes what we likes). And IMO comparing the feel of a Tele & SG is apples & oranges.
I switch back & forth from my tele to any of my other guitars with no trouble. Granted, most of mine are 9.5" C-shape, but I have 10" & 12" R's with varying shapes also (Fender, Squier, PRS, G&L)

As I said, I'd check the set up and maybe take it to good tech if you're not comfortable doing that stuff yourself.

Thank you Mick. I know it needs a set up. They fixed the neck pocket issue and adjusted the truss rod. It really does need a true set up.

It just doesn't seem very far offbat all with the 9s on it. Its playable. i just dont want to pay for a set up and still have to fight lol.

Guess I will get it set up with 10s and hope for the best.

"Guess I will get it set up with 10s and hope for the best."

I may be misinterpreting this but, a change from 9's to 10's *shouldn't* require additional "set up" work.

A big jump, say from 9's to 13's, is another story.

I put 10s on it. It feels much better. Almost feels more solid. I like it and I am going to keep it. Still not as roomy as my Strat and SG but its very useable and I love the tones out of it.

I stopped trying to like the neck. I traded it for an epi dot with a nice case.
