I know I want this guitar. Just don't know where to buy it or to buy new or used.

Just would like to get some opinions or maybe suggestions.

MF has one that is a restock. Which I assume is a return. Makes me wonder why it's been returned.

The GC website has 3 used ones at three different prices and three different "conditions"

Finally there is several on eBay new and used.
I have never purchased anything from eBay.

My biggest concern is playability and tone.

Help please

Restock can be a mfr overstock as well, or a return, or "found in the warehouse after an audit" or whatever.

They're all going to be "not current product."

You're going to be rolling the dice.

Both will vary subjectively from instrument to instrument in large, large ways.

The restock is $750, is a restock considered new? Still have warrantee and I could send it back if it's not up to par?

May I ask why you need the 60th Anniversary model of this guitar? Aren't they all the same? Just curious.

Mostly because I have loved any classic 50s strat I have tried since they have been out.

I love the color combo and the the sweet case it comes with too, also it has vintage locking tuners and I do not think the regular version does. Actually locking tuners are no big deal.

The regular version doesn't come with a case and this cost right around the same price as the regular version.

The restock one at MF is actually cheaper than the regular version.

You can always return it to MF if it doesn't work out.

That makes sense. Like I said, I thought any year was the same thing. Good luck!

Edited to add: I did some research. Are you talking about the Desert Sand one with the gold pickguard? That is a nice looking Strat. I can see why you are jonesing for one.

Restock usually doesn't have warranty, when in doubt, ask.

Sweet, let us know how it goes. I'm hoping to get a classic player Strat for my next guitar also, my first was a classic player Baja Tele and i love it.

Haven't decided on the 50s or 60s yet.

Restock return also varies by retailer/seller.

You're in a realm of "ask questions with the people who can answer them, not us!"

Right rev. I am not very familiar with online gear ordering.

I did get the Strat locally from Total Entertainment in Daytona.

So far , I love it. I don't really have that much time on it though.

I also bought a Squier CV 60s tele, the one with all the binding. It has what I hope is a minor issue and easy fix. This distracted me from my beautiful new Strat.

Guess I will post about the Tele in the Squier section of the fdp.

Gonna spend some time with my Strat later today. I need sleep,,,

This guitar is amazing.

Came with 10s from the factory.
The bridge is set up floating and stays in tune very well. I was goung to set it flush but I think I will leave it alone at least for a while.

Intonation and action are excellent.

The fourth setting on the pick up selector is neck and bridge. Leaving that alone too for now.

I can not find a single thing I dislike so far.

Love the soft V neck.
