what do you mean the bass is too loud?

bunch of 60 year old friends, doing 60s music at a
'Church Hall Dance'. 14 people showed up,
all relatives or friends (at least they stayed)

None of the band were road warriors, but guys
who like to play music, and only want to practice
once a month. (Just my speed given other commitments)
Its hilarious how the arrangements
magically change according to how well anyone
remembers from last practice! Aside from transitions, it sounded pretty decent when all
cylinders were firing.

HIGH Point- My new bass setup- Ashdown MAG 300
combo 15, paired with an Ashdown Klystron mini 15
extension. 65 lbs and 35 lbs respectively, so
easy to hump around. Great chest-thumping but
tight J-bass sound, so I'm happy!

given the age demographics, I'm recommending a
band uniform-
Flannel shirt, corduroy slacks, and
velcro-tied sneakers...

An old band I was in was playing at a Labor Day weekend festival once. The stage was a flat bed trailer, set up in a field. During our set, the announcement was made that karaoke was getting ready to start. The crowd fled toward the announcement, leaving us to play for a pen of Llamas.
At least you were playing for someone who could applaud!
On a side note, the llamas were very attentive!

That's awesome. Reminds me of my current band's first gig about a year and a half ago. Six people were there...all family & friends. A couple left after the first set & the band outnumbered the crowd.
