FDP Forum / The 'Pup' Tent / Mojotone noiseless single coil strat style pikups

Apr 26th, 2016 01:15 AM   Edit   Profile

Recently found info about these pickups and went to their website. Some direct comparison audio clips from very similar guitars identically set up, except for various p.u. brands.I think the Mojotone set sounds more authentic, compared to the Kinmans and Dimarzio Area to a true single coil. Anybody with real world experience to share? I have been very happily using a set of the original Jeff Beck spec Hot Noiseless (not Lace Sensors) for over 5 years and are comfortable and really like them, but they still don't sound as "single coil" as these Mojotone p.u. s seem to be. All pros and cons welcome.
