I used a free Massey Plugin called "Tape Head" on the lead vocal, plus employed the "Abbey Road Reverb Trick", a little tutorial here

Thanks fellas. Yeah, the only version I had ever heard prior to recording this track was Otis Rush's take. Because Willie Dixon played bass on that one I had assumed it was an original version, then I Youtubed it and found Dixon's and all the other ones, including Oingo Boingo. Obviously the silliness of the tune grabbed a few folks.
