Korean Electromatic G5420T, in white with gold hardware, for $649.00 (that's $200 off the usual), and,

Japan Professional Collection G6122-12 Chet Atkins Country Gentleman Electric 12-string, in Amber with gold hardware, for $2099.00 (over $500 off the usual).

Also, on eBay RockyStreetSounds in NYC has terrific prices on some colors in the G5420T and G5422T model lines ($549, shipped) (you have to hunt for these because his usual add at regular price is also listed).

Just a heads up for any fellow Gretsch fanatics out there ready to buy. If you are in the market, now is a good time to get a steep discount on these models.

Gretschify yo'self if you feel the need!

Those are good deals.

Nothing beats that great Gretsch sound.

These deals are most likely the old model. The new models have thumb fret marker and traditional bound headstock with Electromatic marking omitted. Now it is in small print on the pickguard under the Gretsch logo.

Having the thumbnail markers would be a big deal for me, appearance-wise. I just prefer that look. Never have been a fan of blocks on anything: give me dots or thumbnails and I'm happier.

If I ever buy another Gretsch, it'll be...

...one 'o' these:

I waited and bought the new 5420T in Fairlane Blue which was a new color. I know I could have gotten a deal on the older model, but sometimes you want what you want and decided to pay more. However, Sweetwater worked out a deal for me with a Gretsch case.

Yeah, the gravestone inlays are just bleh...

And double negative points for the 'refrigerator-art' engraving in them.

The 'western motif' engraving on the Chet Atkins 6120 block inlays look like a 2nd grader drew them. They are especially amateurish.

Apologies to all 2nd graders!

Gravestones. Yuck. Gimme thumbnails every time.

Even worse that Gravestone, they are called Humpback inlays!
