Were some made with Alnico V magnets?

Or were they all made with Alnico III?

I realize that we may not have definitive information on this topic.

It was probably alnico 5 because cost sheets for the very first Broadcasters (two-pickup) specify A5 magnets for the bridge pickups. I can't imagine they'd change mag formulas that fast.

A few years later they switched to A3 mags for the bridge and A5 were used in the neck.

If you don't have Nacho Banos' book called The Blackguard Book, it is

highly recommended. This stuff is in there.
