Had to reform the trio since our bassist went down with tinnitus and the drummer's schedule just made things impossible. They certainly had me spoiled as they were so great.

But got together with two other guys and we had enough down to do an hour at a club as part of a semi private college function- we were followed by "new media" artists and the like.

Have to say that the club's sound guy did a great job. He moved around the room with his iPad mixer, balancing everything- going outside to refresh his ears, then coming back in to tweak some more. Some iPhone videos taken proved that A. the sound was clear and punchy, and B. none of us screwed up too bad. Afterwards the sound guy said we'd do great on the "weekend warrior circuit", which he meant as a compliment.

Congratulations on a successful gig! I know there had to be some trepidation before hitting the stage!

Good on ya though. I'm on the verge of getting back to doing gigs again. Auditioning bass players next weekend. It's been *way* too long...

"Have to say that the club's sound guy did a great job."

That's like winning the lottery.
