Searched high & low for an old thread in either the vintage amp section or amp repairs & mods and came up empty. Hammond or one of the other regulars posted that all his vintage big tweeds have linear volume (and maybe treble) pots, not audio as shown on the schematics. Can someone who remembers that thread jump in and expand on this? IIRC he discovered volume, tone and maybe presence were linear? Is that correct?

FWIW, I swapped in linear volume and treble pots on my clone 5F4 and wow, what a improvement! If there's more that need to be changed I'd like to know. Thanks!
