FDP Forum / Fender Guitars: Telecasters / Need some Allen wrenches for American Standard

I need to pickup some wrenches for adjusting the truss Rod, string saddles and micro tilt. Does anyone know what the sizes would be for these and who makes the best truss Rod wrench? I would think that these would be the same size for an American Stat also. Thanks

Truss rod: 3/16" I have a wrench from Stew-Mac and like it.

Bridge saddles: 0.050"

Micro-Tilt: 1/8"

Go to K Mart or Sears and buy an SAE set of Allen-brand wrenches. They include all the sizes you need--and then some.

This.

American Deluxe, American Standard, American Special and Highway Oneā„¢ series guitars use 1/8" wrench on the truss rods.

Check your local hardware store for the T-Handle wrenches. Cheaper than Stew-Mac.

Ah, right you are, RicOkc!

I must be getting' old. Memory is the second thing to go; I can't remember the first!

Anyway, yep, 3/16" for MIM, 1/8" for MIA. I have the StewMac wrenches for both and they work great, but they do cost more.

Boy that was to close, I had everything in the cart ready to hit the buy now button and decided to check back at the forum for any new post. I would have bought 3/16" truss Rod wrench for nothing. Thanks RicOkc for catching that, saved me from making a bum purchase.
