There's a Martin Tiple with OHSC for sale at the local thrift store. Anyone know about these? Perhaps it's only a historical artifact with no market value, suitable for display as a museum piece. Looks like a uke but harder to play.

What do you think, long i or short i?

And then this morning I spot one on Asheville Craigslist.

Short i would be my guess.

It's a latin instrument, in spanish it's pronounced TEA-play. English speakers usually pronounce it to rhyme with 'triple',

An older friend had one of these and I think he sold it on Ebay several years back.
Here's what the Vintage Guitar Priceguide says:
T-15 $800-1000
T-17 $1000=1200
T-18 $1000-1200
T-28 $3000-4000

I'd pick it up if it is affordable enough.
