The older the violin

the sweeter the music.

I've got a line on one, a very nice one. Played it for about 45 minutes, might go back today and play it some more.

Near as I can tell, they were only made for about 4 years (correct me if I'm wrong).

They seem to be highly regarded, and I was pretty much blown away with the one I played. I would have preferred a little more wood on the neck, but liked the 1 3/4" nut.

Anybody got one? Whattya think?

As a lefty, I don't have any skin in the game on this one - where did you play it at?

Just that little bit of extra wood for a 1 3/4" nut will add some stability and resonance to the neck - even if it is a thin one.

Still in love with my Martin D-35 purchased back in May. It's a keeper, while many of my other guitars will be for sale soon.

Mikey, Dietze took in 10 "as new" guitars in trade for a couple of high-end Taylors.

Included were a Martin D-21, a D-18GE, and another D-18, maybe a V, iirc. They priced them very reasonably, I thought.

Both the D-18GE and D-18V are nice guitars. Must have been some really nice Taylors to give those up.
