This might derail my plans to find to find an affordable Peavey Patriot (USA) bass.

The good news: My wife loves acoustic guitar and owns several Seagull acoustics.

The bad news: This would be about $200.00 more than the cost of a Peavey Patriot bass.

I really like Seagull guitars. I bought an S6+ CW Cedar used a couple of years ago as my knock-around dred. I enjoy playing it. It is well built, projects nicely and has a very balanced tone. The electronics, however simple, sound good.

IMO they have always given the player a good value for the money at any price range. Finding a nice used one is a bonus.

I have two S6's (one acoustic one a/e) and a 12 string a/e. I love the neck spacing, build quality and really like the satin finish. The electronics sound VERY good and are non complicated.

Price is the best part and North American made doesn't hurt.

We, with the emphasis on my wife, own four Seagulls--Two 12 strings (one a very early model, M12, very much played), a Folk Cedar, & a S6+ Cedar GT (lefty). All are solid cedar tops with laminated wild cherry b&s.

The SWS in the ad would be nice for all solid wood, the spruce top, & rosewood b&s. The EQ & built-in tuner would be a nice plus.

Go for it....have an Artist Portrait model that is my "go to" acoustic. Sounds like a great deal and would compliment the "flock" of Seagulls you have quite nicely.
